National Trails Day Hike: June 7, 2008

Three part hike showcasing 2007 accomplishments.

1. Meet at The Apple Farm, 1640 State Route 444 (Bloomfield Rd) at 8:30 a.m. and VHT will provide a continental breakfast. At 9:00 a.m. we will hike from The Apple Farm to County Road 41 (Boughton Hill Rd) via the new Apple Farm Trail (Yellow), new bridge crossing Great Brook, and the southern section of the Seneca Trail (Red).
2. Next on to Monkey Run Trails on county Road 9 (Egypt Rd) for a new loop trail (Yellow) and a transverse of another new bridge--this one crosses White Brook. We will exit this trail system on Vallentown Road.
3. Then to Fishers Fire House 1 on Main Street Fishers to see a new Auburn Trail Plaza. From here we hike to Lehigh Crossing Park via the Auburn and Lehigh Trails and a newly decked trestle bridge and more new trails.

VHT will provide transportation between each leg and back to The Apple Farm. There is no chare, however, you must sign up in advance by calling 585-234-8226. Leave your name, phone number and how many will be joining us on the hike.
