Enjoy a two hour walk at Ganondagan to learn about edible plants with our experienced guide and educator Deborah Denome.
We will enjoy a gentle, wild edible and medicinal plant walk at Ganondagan State Historic Site. Along the trails, we will identify plants and trees that have been traditionally honored as food and medicine and perhaps sample some wild foods (optional if people feel safe). I will bring wild foods from Shimmering Light Farm and share simple recipes. We will not be harvesting anything from the Ganondagan site. Woven throughout will be conversation about how to safely and ethically harvest from the wild and the concepts of Reciprocity and Wildtending. Folks will have an opportunity to share about any of their own wild food experiences.
