The new mural on the west side of the Thuway underpass is prgressing nicely.

Here are the artist, Josue Lopez, (far left) and the workers.

The themes:

• The Cobblestone House
• Native adults dancing
• Native children dancing
• A portrait of Sarah Hall Bonesteele, a suffragette in the 1920s who lived in the cobblestone house across from Eastview Mall that is now a Starbucks. It was at one time the location of the Cobblestone Arts Center that is now in Farmington on Rt 332 by the Auburn Trail.
• Fishers fire station, celebrating 100 years for the fire district. (Not yet painted.)

The mural is being created and painted in cooperation with the Cobblestone Arts Center.
